Cancer Exercise & Recovery Programs
Dear
Friends, Colleagues, & Cancer Survivors!
As a social
worker and personal trainer I have always had a passion to help
others. After over coming kidney disease, 2 kidney transplants and
surviving cancer, I felt a responsibility to share my 20 years of
knowledge with others. I believe that exercise has been the key to
my survival. It is this philosophy that has compelled me to educate
and train others to reach their wellness potential, regardless of
the obstacles they are facing.
“Two years
ago after being diagnosed with cancer, I knew I wanted to share my
personal journey, my successful recovery, and professional knowledge
with others. This is why I took my career to another level, and
became certified as a CANCER EXERCISE SPECIALIST.”
I have been
studying cancer and the effects of exercise for the past two years,
and I am very excited to share my knowledge with you. I have studied
all stages of cancer, from diagnosis to treatment, contraindications
of medications and disease, side effects, recovery issues,
prevention of lymphedema, and reconstructive procedures.
Following
cancer surgery and treatment, there are numerous physically
debilitating side effects that cancer patients have become
accustomed to living with. As a cancer survivor you may be living
with such issues as, limited range of motion, poor posture, neck and
back pain, lymphedema, chronic fatigue, difficulty standing erect,
and weak muscles. Together we will work to improve your quality of
life and reach your fitness goals, effectively and safely.
Your
personalized program will focus on:

• Assess, design and implement individual or group programs.
